My Dear Girl – From The Aging Old Mother to Her Exuberant Daughter

My dear girl, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: “You said the same thing a minute ago”… Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep.

When I don’t want to take a bath, don’t be mad and don’t embarrass me. Remember when I had to run after you making excuses and trying to get you to take a shower when you were just a girl?

When you see how ignorant I am when it comes to new technology, give me the time to learn and don’t look at me that way … remember, honey, I patiently taught you how to do many things like eating appropriately, getting dressed, combing your hair and dealing with life’s issues every day… the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through.

If I occasionally lose track of what we’re talking about, give me the time to remember, and if I can’t, don’t be nervous, impatient or arrogant. Just know in your heart that the most important thing for me is to be with you.
And when my old, tired legs don’t let me move as quickly as before, give me your hand the same way that I offered mine to you when you first walked. When those days come, don’t feel sad… just be with me, and understand me while I get to the end of my life with love. I’ll cherish and thank you for the gift of time and joy we shared. With a big smile and the huge love I’ve always had for you, I just want to say, I love you … my darling daughter.

Funeral Posters

These days we see a lot of Funeral Posters in town with numerous inscriptions. But one which draws attention is the very well bold headings such as, “Gone Too Soon”, “What A Shock”, “Glorious Exit”, “OH Death Why?”, “Heavenly Ascension”, “Away to Jesus”, “Death You Are Wicked”, “Glorious Call” “Gone Too Soon” among others.

I`m of the view that we show much realism if its necessary that we paste such posters at all. Instead of all the above inscriptions why don`t we try out this;
*”Exited To His/Her Lord For Judgement”,
*”Called Upon To Account For A Life Lived” etc etc

This is the reality, this is the reality of mankind dieing. After death the Holy Books says there comes nothing else except judgement ! Today also, I was awaken by lousy sirens from Ambulances conveying dead bodies!
Good morning.

Reflecting with my Nzema Brethren on Celebrating Dr. Kwame Nkrumah`s Legacies

Appreciative it is, to dedicate a single day and adorn it as a celebration day, a day for recognition and reflection on the Great Legacies and Memories of the Great Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, first President of our country Ghana.

As you are aware it is exactly the One-hundred and fifth`s birthday celebration of the Nation`s hero which is also celebrated continental, as well globally as The World Peace Day.

I`m inquiring, does anyone of us think it is worth the celebration as a youth of Nzema? Taking into account how the State has deliberately denigrated his Great ideas and his developmental plans meant to usher this Nation into the hub of Greatness as a Proper Developed Country.

Do you think it is worth the participation as a Youth of Nzema knowing very well that this kind of celebration is only taking place on the internet and in the state run and private media houses as against what should have been a much proper and befitting celebration which should at least reflect even in the least good way in his own birth place, the Historical Nkroful.

Another question comes to mind, whether we as a Nation are celebrating Nkrumah on the bases that he just deserves to be celebrated as a Great man and the First President of the Republic of Ghana and that`s all?

My O my! Let us take a glance at Ghana so far and the Youth of Nzema today, take a glance again and reflect deeper and then ask yourself if our government is ready to empower the Youth of Nzema and for that matter all other youths to embrace us as partners in progress, in the developmental process of this country? I would like you to answer this yourselves.

Today as our nation says it is celebrating Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, let us begin our discussion from the very and only hometown of the man, Nkroful.
For those of us who are from that area, I bring to your attention that Nkroful is at its worst state ever, this historic town is under most serious threat of complete extermination through mining by Adamus Resources Ltd and other illegal Galamsey operators.

This significantly important Historic Heritage town has been deprived of significant infrastructural development for decades, deprived of development in all aspects, now all we see in ourselves as youth is almost tantamount to total misery, we have no proper hope for a better life tomorrow, all we rely on is to “destroy” our lands for a living, engaging in galamsey (illegal mining) for survival and we ask ourselves for how long will it continue so?

Leadership in Nzema, talk of our various Paramount Chiefs and their sub-chiefs as well as representatives of the people in government, the numerous assemblymen, the District and Municipal Chief Executives have become the biggest disappointment as they have proven to us they only care about their selfish interests whiles representing us.

They have remained very silent as these seemingly “uncivilized” miners ravage this great historical heritage town for its gold minerals.
Is this the kind of celebration we should involve ourselves in? after we have known plainly the very covert hatred meted out to this great man and his visions and our motherland?

Do you wish the Youth of Nzema today to be happy and joyous in joining this so called celebration whiles the grave yard of the very mother of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Ɛmɔ  Nyaniba Ngonloma is caving-in, waiting for complete collapse due to the in-action of the State to come to its rescue?  Whiles this same State claims to be celebrating Kwame Nkrumah, this attitude can only be described as than mockery on his great job for Ghana`s independence.

Yet again, I entreat you all to visit the very historic home of the man and you will know there is nothing to cry home about, absolutely nothing.
But before embarking on your journey to Nkroful, let me assure you of another fact on the ground, it is a caution to pregnant women and others who have problems with their spinal cord or suffering from waste pains, because it might get even worse whiles driving on a less than 8KM road from Essiama to Nkroful and other far worst roads from other surrounding towns linking Nkroful, like that from Saloma through Aluku to Teleku Bokazo to Nkroful, and others linking Nkroful from Assasetre and Anwia.

All roads leading to the town itself is most shameful as it stands today, and you would want us to believe this is the kind of leadership who shows appreciation and love for the legacies and profess to be celebrating the memory of Nkrumah? Like Seriously?
These are few of the good reasons why I would want a complete abstinence by the youth of Nzema from this sham of celebration to show our disgust towards the State for its blatant neglect of Nkroful and its people today.

At Nzema or Nkroful today, the government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Youth Authority has not given any significant subventions and financial support as being stated in the Ghana Youth Authority`s Policy and the African Union Youth Charter to organize developmental and leadership programmes for youths in Ghana, let alone the corporate organizations who are to invest their corporate social responsibility on their immediate community, which we the youths form a larger percentage of the population.

If our government and various stakeholders fail to perform their responsibilities, then to put the record straight, this event will be nothing but a waste of time and waste of saliva on our airwaves and a waste of ink in our print media.
Today, amidst these unfortunate state of Nkroful and our complaints, we had our District Chief Executive who had the guts to come on Adom FM to lie through his teeth that all is perfectly well contrary to people`s complaints that Nkroful is in a deplorable state.
This attitude of doing propaganda with everything, if not checked will only bring acrimony, hinder purposeful sensitization for the upliftment of Nkroful and Nzema as a whole, promote illiteracy, encourage gangster-ism and foster insecurity in the our district.
I feel saddened seeing my colleagues wandering around without a direction while the state and its officials cares only to do propaganda and mere politics.

Nkrumah will forever be who he was, the Greatest Hero of the Millennium to Africans and the World over.

Yet again let me ask this question. “Have we ever as a Nation thought of implementing his visionary ideologies in full which as we have come to the realization, is the way forward despite being a century old?”
And the answer from the lips of most of us is definitely “TWEAAA”!

Just as it is worth celebrating this great man, it should be done in the most befitting way which should bring about proper blessings to the people of Nzema and Ghana as a whole rather than what we are witnessing today.

Until we realize it’s time for us as youth to form and present a United front, we will never make a heard way, especially if all we do is to lay complaint upon complaints whiles TIME waits for none of us and the situation deteriorates.
A celebration of the Great Legacies of Nkrumah Indeed!
Long Live Nzema
Long Live Nkrumah-ism
Forward Ever

Thank you for your time with me here. PEACE & FORWARD EVER !

Foreigners way of rule “Democracy” Chop make I come Chop some. Has it helped ?

The laws are there, the problem is the enforcement of the laws. Despite our economic situation, if we can achieve 80% enforcement of laws on the statue books we will be a far better country. Enforcing the law is a leadership matter, it is an executive matter. Its is no a matter of just this government but it is over the period.

There are people who are being paid to exercise that executive function, do they do it ? No because they will loose votes if they are to implement them as the laws states. What do they do then ? They leave their duties and rather engage in propaganda to deceive the general populace, amidst the rate of social and environmental deterioration they are stuck between doing  what is right and loosing power should they do what is right.

This has been the order of the day, government upon government and the situation still stands worsening from time to time. We have chosen democracy as the way forward, but is this the democracy we have been promised? No, this is the dirty aspect of what an abuse of democracy exactly looks like. As a country of people being governed by the few who have shown they care less, and amidst this democratic system we as citizens who are at the receiving end still have thousands of options to liberate ourselves and make sure True Democracy becomes the order of the day.

As a country, we need a drastic but simple plan. Radicalism is often not an accepted way of ensuring things are done, but in most cases in Africa it has worked magic. After all, we can’t be using old methods and be expecting different results. It doesn’t work that way! Until we rise up to save democracy, democracy will be seen as the most unfortunate system of governance ever to be adopted by us. !

Same short codes for all telcos-NCA

All mobile phone users regardless of the network will use a common short code to check their credits, top up and assess call centres from today.
This follows the industry`s regulator National Communications Authority’s (NCA) move to harmonize all short codes for general customer services across all networks.

The National Communication Authority however says the existing short codes for the various telecommunication networks will run concurrently with the new one until April 2015.

  1. To recharge, subscribers will use 134.
  2. To check balance, subscribers will need to dial 124 and
  3. 100 for the call centre.

The others are 600 for number portability, 400 for verification of SIM, 108 for Voice Mail Deposit and 109 for Voice Mail Retrieval.
ncaNote: Harmonised Short Codes would be implemented from 8th September, 2014 and used concurrently with existing short codes until April, 2015.

Ghana`s woes and the role of our Spiritual Gurus et al

For the past years my keen observations to how our own politicians go about doing things, like campaigning for votes and supports and their solemn promises and pledges when they are in power finally has taught me some basic lessons when it comes to trusting them in  fulfillment of these promises.
As their attitude stands, there is a perception that many believe. And I can tell you that should any modern day Ghanaian politician and any of his members make promises to you, I will advice you as a brother to assume that promise as “Lucifer” Promising you Paradise. Could such a promise ever materialize ? If no then that`s what I`m talking about. Dismantle it in your brains and trash it, one time.

The Ghanaian politicians, people who were once so caring and intelligent, they were liberators, those days where they had the entire welfare of the nation wholly at heart and they would die for it. They worked so hard that it earned Ghana a “Liberator of Nations”.

In today`s day and age we see the exact opposite of all these qualities in our current Politicians. Today the University Graduate Ghanaian politicians are that type of humans described as people with evil mindset, best described as gangsters or better, people with a Mafia mindset, an association of thieves who join forces to loot the state of its resources. Walks freely and survives on the sweat of the poor Ghanaian citizen, a cartel of Nation Wreckers. People who use religion to clone their evil mindset, with the help of Muslim Scholars and their Imams and Mallams, with the help of our Fetish Priests, our Christian Modern “Prophets”, Bishops, Reverend Fathers, Pastors and other Spiritual Gurus and with the combination of Forces of Magicians, with the backing of Business men/women, well established business gurus they are able to change the Destiny and Fortune of our dear Nation.

We have Muslim Malams and Imams who have aligned themselves with today`s Politicians and have taken them as their Mentors and are willing to slaughter hundreds of Cows, sheep upon sheep, recite the entire Holy Quran over and over again all to please Allah to turn the true winner a loser, to declare his political mentor winner, during the general voting period, they spend days reciting verses of the Holy Quran all to turn the destiny of our dear Nation upside down. A voting right given us by Allah they are willing to make that a useless thing.
Does it surprise you to know that Ghana has been the first country to ever record Live Cows grazing in the sea?, this is no fiction. Yes it did happen. This is the height at which these malams can go to appease their deities!

We have Senior Fetish Priests who have aligned themselves with today`s Politicians and have taken them as their Mentors and they are willing to slaughter hundreds of Cows, sheep upon sheep, slaughter hundreds of fowls, pour gallons of alcohol, pour over hundred bottles of the most expensive schnapps as libation to appease our local gods and other deities to change the true outcome of our votes all in favour of one politician who has bought him kente cloth and in addition dashed him GH₵ 100 or less or more of cash. Same Fetish priests are willing to go on radio and other media outlets to carry on with their evil campaigns, spread lies, falsified visions and fake prophesies all in the name of supporting politicians.

We have highly respected Christian Leaders who have aligned themselves with today`s Politicians and have taken them as their Mentors and are willing to sprinkle and pour gallons of anointing oil, holy water, burn thousand bundles of incense all to appease, Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit to change the true outcome of a general election all in favour of their political ally. Same “Prophets” are willing to go on radio and to spread lies, falsified visions and fake prophesies all in the name of supporting politicians so they can earn “nokofio”.

There are well established businesses, companies, media houses and what have you who think its far wiser to sponsor politicians rather than giving back to society in general. This is no new news.
Most disheartening is the destruction being caused by our spiritual leaders. They must be very ashamed of what events have turned out to be, but as to whether their greedy attitude will teach them a lesson its up to all of us to observe as the coming general elections draws nearer and nearer. For now we all have observed how fast they have lost Respect in the face of Ghanaians.

Our Spiritual leaders have failed us together with our politicians and we are disappointed in them. They have lost respect and never will they be recognized as people of sanctity anymore until they change their mischievous ways. For now we we will only show our anger in writing and talking, but sooner will they realize the extent of our anger when we mount a real revolution, a revolution by the general populace and its not far from there !

Until then May Allah be with us and May He grant us broad chests to face realities and to counter Evil !
